When You Need Us

Detoxification at CKF Addiction Treatment is a service for individuals who are experiencing the most acute effects of substance use and who do not require medical stabilization. For patients requiring medical stabilization, we will coordinate with our local hospital. Detoxification lasts 3-5 days depending on what substance is in the body and the accompanying withdrawal process. 24/7 support and care are provided by professional staff during the detoxification process.

Supporting You Through

The Hard Times

If you or someone you know is experiencing withdrawal symptoms from substance use, we can help. Individuals, and those referring individuals to CKF, can call us any time day or night to inquire about our detoxification service. During the phone call, we will assess the patient’s condition to understand if our service provides the most appropriate level of care.

Pay

Do not worry about ability to pay when accessing this service, as CKF Addiction Treatment does not deny this level of care to patients due to inability to pay. We receive state and federal funding to ensure that those needing this service will receive this service. Our only limitation would be bed availability as we have 30 beds in total, for men and women, and with two patients per room. When there is not bed availability and your need for the service continues, we will ask that you call back each day to check on availability.

Admission Process

Please limit the number of belongings that you bring with you while staying with us to only that which is essential. During the admission process, our intake staff will further review your presenting condition as they check you in to your room.

Support

While you stay with us, you will have the support of our Residential Technicians, Nurses, Peer Mentors, and Counselors. Patients are often times not feeling well during the detoxification process and will most likely want to stay in their room to rest. During this time, we will provide you with water, Gatorade, food, entertainment options, support, and care.

monitor your condition

CKF staff will monitor your condition to ensure it is improving.

If there are any complications during the withdrawal process, our nurses and medical director will be called upon to assess course of care. There are some medications available that can assist you during the detoxification process, however, we will utilize our local hospital if your needs will be best met in an acute care facility. Patients requiring hospitalization often return to CKF following medical stabilization and discharge from the hospital.

Once your withdrawal symptoms have subsided to a degree that is more comfortable, there will be opportunities for you to work with our staff to decide what your next step will be. This might include attending some of our group counseling sessions or working with a peer mentor to discuss options that will work best for you. Some patients request that they continue services at CKF by beginning our residential treatment program. If this is the right option for you and we have availability for you to begin this service, you can get started following detoxification.

Detoxification with expert care

Going through withdrawal symptoms on your own can be painful and scary. CKF Addiction Treatment will provide you with the right care and expertise to minimize your discomfort. The goal of this program is to ensure that you are okay and to give you options as you move forward with your health care.

We are here to make your first step towards recovery a little bit easier.

What happens following my detoxification stay?

Once your withdrawal symptoms have subsided to a degree that is more comfortable, there will be opportunities for you to work with our staff to decide what your next step will be. If meeting with a peer mentor at our Pathfinder Recovery Center or beginning an outpatient level of care is the right fit, we can plan for those services to begin as well.
