CKF Addiction Treatment is thrilled to announce the expansion of our Bridgehouse-Salina Designated Women’s Program! We have started renovations at our new location, located directly across from our main campus in Salina, Kansas. We are crossing our fingers that we will be able to move into the new property and begin operations by the beginning of 2024. The new location will give us the opportunity to increase the number of women and women with children we serve on a regular basis.
This property will have two separate sober living spaces directly next to the newly purchased office space. The new sober living spaces will have a total of 24 beds. The two sober living spaces will each have six bedrooms (2 beds each), three bathrooms, a shared living space, a laundry room, and a kitchen. The office building will have individual counseling offices, group rooms, an admission area, a clothing closet, a meditation/exercise room, and a children’s playroom. Each of these new spaces has been designed to ensure the safety and comfort of the women and children who come to the program.
The Bridgehouse-Salina Program offers Intensive Outpatient Treatment with Sober Living to women and women with children. Through this program, we can provide much-needed support services to women struggling with the chronic disease of addiction. While enrolled in this program, the women meet with a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) five days per week for therapeutic groups and one time per week for individual sessions. Women are also required to meet with a Kansas Certified Peer Mentor (KCPM) once weekly. During the sessions with the KCPM, case management services are provided, and necessary referrals are made.
Along with therapeutic process groups, the women enrolled in our Bridgehouse-Salina Program participate in life skills classes, including: sewing, money management, conflict resolution, resume building, nutrition, cooking, gardening classes, and many others. The women who bring children with them to the program participate in parenting classes alongside their children.
CKF Bridgehouse-Salina is 1 of 8 Designated Women’s Programs in the state. Our goal is to increase the opportunity for women and women with children to find recovery and assist them with the resources needed to achieve their goals. Children in our program will be provided with a safe and supportive environment to promote growth, positive relationships, and learning.
One of the women who participated in the program stated, “My stay was tough, but it got easier. The biggest challenge they helped me overcome was being independent and getting out on my own. They also helped me find childcare for my son so I could go to work during the day”.
We are anxiously awaiting the completion of construction so we can begin operations in our new space!
We are excited about the new opportunities this location will provide and the support it will offer to the women and their children.
