We Help You

Get Back on Your Feet

Residential rehabilitation allows you to take a step back from it all while acquiring skills to help you manage your addiction once returning home. Our full residential rehabilitation program is 28 days, however, there are shorter options available that begin at 7 day stays. Residential patients will stay at our adult, co-ed, 30 bed facility in Salina, KS and have one roommate who is also staying for residential care. During your stay, you will attend structured group counseling, educational services, and activities that will focus on the biological, psychological, and social aspects of your addiction and help sharpen the tools you have to manage a chronic illness.

Aspects of Addiction

Residential rehabilitation begins with a phone call to CKF as you decide how you would like to access the service to best meet your needs. We can visit with you over the phone to briefly discuss your current situation and symptoms, or you can schedule an assessment with one of our licensed addiction counselors so that they can provide further recommendations and connect you to residential treatment following the assessment.

The brief screening over the phone allows us to confirm that your symptoms qualify you for this level of care, however, an assessment with a licensed addiction counselor will still occur once you arrive so that we can provide the best care possible. Our counselor will also be able to review the length of stay that would be most appropriate and answer any questions you may have.

Insurance

Whether you have insurance, would like to pay out of pocket, or do not have the ability to pay, we have services available for you. CKF Addiction Treatment does receive federal and state funding to ensure that you receive the care you need. As we must manage a set amount of funding throughout the year, it is possible that you will be placed on a waiting list and connected to other CKF services until your scheduled admission date arrives.

Appointment

Please arrive on time for your scheduled residential admission appointment. You will meet with an intake coordinator to sign necessary paperwork, review the services that will be provided to you, and acclimate you to the overall environment. Our nursing staff will assess your medical needs so that they can provide you with right support during your stay.

On-call

Patients attending services at CKF must be able to manage their own health and functional needs, as we do not have 24/7 nursing on-site but do have nurses on-call 24/7. CKF's medical director oversees all medical services that are delivered by our qualified staff. The residential technician staff who are always available will be able to connect to other professional staff should the need arise.

Treatment Program

A schedule will be provided to you as you begin our treatment program so that you can keep track of the daily plan of care. Services each day are provided by our residential technicians, peer mentors, counselors, and nursing staff. The Pathfinder Recovery Center is available during down time to enjoy our exercise equipment, video games, and pool table. There is television and ping pong available in our day room and a basketball court and relaxing walking trail available just outside. You can take time to meditate in the quiet wooded area while sitting on a bench or participate in physical activities.

Meals

Meals are prepared daily by CKF cooks in our on-site kitchen and served in the dining area. There are snacks provided as well as snacks available for purchase from our vending machines.

Counseling

You will work one on one with an assigned counselor as well as during group counseling sessions to address thoughts and behaviors that have accompanied your substance use. While quitting a substance may be necessary and valuable to your health journey, it will not be the only thing supporting your success in recovery. Addiction involves layers and all the layers that have built up over time must be addressed as you rebuild the life that you would like to live.

Journey

Peer mentors, or Recovery Coaches, will also be available to assist your journey and provide much needed support that can begin in residential treatment but continue during your outpatient care post-discharge. Peer mentors have lived experience managing addiction that will benefit you as you consider what your own recovery will look like.

opportunities to connect

Family members will have opportunities to connect with you.

There may be times that it is appropriate and helpful to connect with a family member during an individual session as you and your counselor address relationship dynamics that exist at home.

Leading up to your scheduled completion date and upon discharge, you will work with our professional staff on a plan to continue building your skills at managing your chronic illness. This plan may include utilizing the Pathfinder Recovery Center, attending outpatient counseling services at CKF, or connecting with another provider of addiction health care services. We can help you bridge the gap from residential care to the next step of your health care journey.

Rehabilitation

Residential rehabilitation can be a great place to start for many who are struggling to manage their addiction, however, it will never be the last thing you do to manage addiction. Addiction requires long-term chronic disease management, and we can help you create a plan for success.
